“The school continues to develop and grow”
2025 has been so full of events for our boys to dive into. A reflection of the year for me sees continued energy and excitement from the boys who enter the gates and the young men that leave.
Being on the sideline of so many events I am lucky enough to experience the dynamics of the end product. What I want to reflect on is the endless hours of commitment, effort and passion from the unseen people behind our boys.
The parents and caregivers being woken at early hours to be the shuttle and food supply. The encouragement, support and behind the scenes words of wisdom for their son’s performances.
The training, study and learning from our boys before an event hits the stage, court or field. The resilience and backroom advice from parents and coaches.
Our staff and coaches whether in or out of the classroom are there not for personal glory but to enable our boys to have the experience of competition. This competition is often with the boy themselves and getting their mind primed or body prepared to the point of being fully ready for the assessment, performance or sports game.
This preparation is what is not always seen in a photo, in a composition or on a field as this is the “unseen”. To all those people who are “backing” our boys I say thank you for your graft and it is so worthwhile.
Another year of fun and exploration of the human spirit at Middlepark Road has come to an end. To those who are leaving our doors it has been such a privilege to have been a small part of your lives and journey so far. We all look forward to watching the men you become and possible future staff too!

Cheers, Biggsie.
