A message from our counsellors….

Kia ora koutou katoa junior students,

It has been amazing meeting heaps of you in the Student Support Department throughout 2020. It’s great that so many of you have found it useful to talk to a counsellor when things have been tricky for you to navigate, or you need some extra support to work through a difficult situation in your life. Remember that we are always here for you, and are always happy to talk with you confidentially in 2021 and beyond.

Over the summer holidays, if you or someone you care about needs support and assistance, here are some numbers you might find useful;

Please reach out and speak to trained mental health professionals via the following wellbeing and support services:

– Lifeline – 0800 543 354

– What’s Up – 0800 942 8787 (5–18 year olds). Phone counselling Monday to Friday, midday–11pm and weekends, 3pm–11pm.

– Kidsline – 0800 54 37 54 for young people up to 18 years of age. Open 24/7.
