Alert Level 3 – Students of Essential Workers (Years 7,8 & 9)

Kia Ora Koutou,

Following today’s announcement, we will remain in Level 4 until 11.59pm on Tuesday 31st August. If we are then moved to Level 3, there is a provision for some students to come to school if parents are working, and if there is no supervision that can be provided at home or in an extended bubble. We are looking to gather data on any students who might need to be supervised at school under Level 3 to help with our planning.

Only students who are 13 years old and under are able to take up this opportunity. The supervision will not replicate your son’s normal schooling. It will operate in the following way:

-Small number of staff supervising online learning (no face-to-face teaching).

-Small bubbles of students who stay together during their time on site, including lunch.

-Students must only enter the site from 8.30am and must leave the site at 2.30pm.

This is to be a last resort for families who are working during school hours and cannot supervise at home or in an extended bubble.

If this could be the case, please fill out the form below by midday on Sunday 29th August.

Thank you to those who have already filled out this form – we appreciate your assistance.

PLEASE NOTE: This form MUST be completed if you require supervision for your child – please do not send your child along to school without having done so, as we need to make provision for numbers attending.

Mentoring teachers will be following up with students on Monday.
