St Thomas’ is renowned for its achievements in football and producing many great players.
Ryan Nelson ex All White captain, English Premier League Player and Old Boy of the College would be extremely proud to think about what’s happening currently in football at St Thomas of Canterbury College.

With International tournaments and tours to Dubai, France, UK, Scotland and the USA, football provides fantastic opportunities for students at the College. The College is thriving on national secondary school boy success with the year 7 and 8’s also becoming South Island champions at the Koru games in 2014.

Keep an eye on the fixtures and results by visiting Mainland Football

The College boasts several Canterbury and Selwyn reps with a number of New Zealand talent centre players and Canterbury United youth team players. All of this adds up to a very successful programme run by the College with links to many clubs.

Aided by quality coaching including recent Old Boy and Canterbury United dragon men’s football team player Jacob Allen. Football is achieving very high within the college.
